How to get to the German Dance Platform 2008
Hanover is the capital of Lower Saxony and is conveniently situated
in Northern Germany. The airport is close to the city, well-served
by public transport and easily accessible by car. The German Dance
Platform 2008 Visitors’ Centre, venues and cooperating hotels
are all within easy walking distance from the central train station
(Hauptbahnhof).

Arriving by train
Hanover is served by a high-speed rail link. The central station
is centrally located and all hotels are within short walking distance,
or alternatively one or two stops by underground train (U-Bahn).

Arriving by plane
A number of major airlines fly to Hanover, including Air France,
Lufthansa, SAS, swiss etc. As well as many inland connections there
are also direct connections from Paris, London, Amsterdam, Brussels
etc.
The city-rail (S-Bahn), line S5, runs a 30-minute service from Terminal
C (at 6 and 36 minutes past the hour) to Hanover central station.
The journey takes approx. 15 minutes. Tickets currently cost €
2.70
A taxi from the airport to the city centre costs approx. €
20.00.

Arriving by car
Hanover is situated at the motorway intersection A7 / A2, connecting
north and southbound with east and westbound road travel. Follow
signs for the city centre (Stadtzentrum) for hotels and Dance Platform
Visitors’ Centre.
